IMAT's Network of Organisations

ALBERTA NEW MEDIA ASSOCIATION
The Alberta New Media Association fosters an environment that builds the cohesiveness and professionalism of the New Media industry in Alberta. The Association is dedicated to promotion of the industry, to education, and to public awareness of New Media as an innovative and strategic communication tool, which has value for both business and the community.
APMQ
The Association des producteurs en multimédia du Québec (APMQ) was set up in April 1997 and today includes over 65 producers of multimedia content. Its mission is to defend and champion the producers' interests with a view to encouraging the growth of this industry. APMQ is actively involved with governments, funding agencies, research centres and other multimedia industry associations. Its aim is to provide producers with all the means necessary to ensure that multimedia products created in Quebec are recognized in both the domestic and world markets. In December 1997, APMQ released its first development plan for multimedia industry.
ASSOCATION OF WEB PROFESSIONALS (AWP)
AWP is the industry recognized association and certification body dedicated to enhancing the value and credibility of Web professionals through on-going development and communication of standards, a code of ethics and professional development.
CANADIAN ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATION (CATA)
CATA Alliance is a results driven national trade association, comprised of over 1000 "new economy" enterprises. The common purpose that unites the membership is CATA Alliance's commitment to members' business growth. With offices across the country, CATA Alliance is focused on the provision of business services that conserve and leverage member resources. Because members are action-oriented businesses, CATA Alliance responds with action when members need specific services.
CANADIAN INTERACTIVE DIGITAL SOFTWARE ASSOCIATION
The Canadian Interactive Digital Software Association (CIDSA) was formed in May 1994 to provide a voice for the rapidly expanding interactive software industry. The association includes major Canadian video game manufacturers, software developers, distributors and retailers.

The Toronto Chapter of the Cold Fusion User Group is dedicated to supporting the local community of Cold Fusion Developers. We are a FREE, not-for-profit organization. FORUM DES INFOROUTES ET DU MULTIMÉDIA
The mission of the Forum des Inforoutes et du Multimdia is to promote the growing digital and interactive content industry in Quebec and connect it with the world. Open to all participants in and users of new media, the Forum brings together all the contributing partners involved in the new media production industry, such as content creators, digital graphic artists, designers, programmers, producers, distributors, information technology professionals, financial institutions and government organizations.
INTERNATIONAL INTERACTIVE COMMUNICATIONS SOCIETY, IICS VANCOUVER
The International Interactive Communications Society is a non-profit organization formed to promote the use of interactive communications in business, industry, education, and the arts. Since its incorporation in California in 1987, the IICS has worked to develop standards and provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of new products, systems, and techniques in the fields of interactive communications and multimedia.

SIGGRAPH is the ACM Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics. SMART Toronto
